„3.000 apartment complex“

FEASIBILITY & DEVELOPMENT STUDY
MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX - HUU LIEN CHAU
Binh Tan District - Vietnam

Client: Huu Lien Asia Corporation (active in the steel industry)
Architectural and planning office: CPG Consultants Vietnam,
Green Design & Planning Department Manager: Lia Röck, 2009

PROJECT DATA:
GFA living area - 290,000m2
Number of flats - 3,000
GFA commercial - 50,000m2
GFA public - 18,000m2

CONCEPT:
The future residents are used to village residential structures, therefore the new residential complex with approx. 3,000 flats will be structured like a village with a centre square with the usual so-called "shop houses" for living & working on the first two floors.
Urban gardening on the roof is planned, which is also reminiscent of the previously common allotment garden for personal use. A connection by means of bridges between the buildings is to maintain social exchange. Integrated public areas or green spaces are envisaged on each level. The use of local building materials for the façade and public spaces is both cost-effective and traditionally familiar to the residents.
